WhenI wrote that post, I was truly sick and tired of the consuming guilt that would not allow me a shred of happiness or some peace in this newfound love. I had to make a decision. Be torn, even though my marriage is over (and by being torn the past would continue to haunt the corners of my steps) OR live in this moment and relish the love in my life. It's part of the process, really, of throwing off the shackles of guilt and shame, in order to move on and.... LIVE!
I choose to live.
I think rereading this post when you're upset or down may help remind you of your long term goals and the bliss you've experienced with the new person. Wiyou you all the best. I always say I'm happily divorced when someone asks and I truly have been for over a decade now. Once you move past the sadness at losing something you thought you'd have forever, a whole new world awaits you :)
