"We thought", "we perceived", "we discerned", "our understanding"...and they were wrong. What proved them wrong? Not a new discovery or mystery revealed but TIME.

It's scary that followers of the Jehovah Witness faith hand their lives over to men they don't know who profess to be inspired by God. Did God think, perceive, discern and understand these teachings too? Is God included in the "we"? If so, that raises it own set of questions.

But we know the leaders of the religion, their Governing Body, are leaning upon their own understanding which is influenced by wanting to maintain membership and saving face.

Unfortunately, most JWs will simply accept the Watchtower study article as given facts with nothing more to be considered.

What blows me away in the "two fulfillments" is that there was no arrival of Jesus in the first century fulfillment. That was the original question that the apostles asked about.

    JWs don't worry about adjustments.

They just believe the current teachings and forget that the organization ever taught anything else.

    “shopaholic”:

“What proved them wrong? Not a new discovery or mystery revealed but TIME.”

Maybe in another century or two, the WT will come out saying something like, “Evidently, it appears that time is, indeed, the answer to everything – time and mathematical probabilities – and therefore we now see that everything in physical ‘creation’ and human society was a product of evolution.” Yep. Give them enough time, and they’re apt to change to anything. Darwin would be impressed with this cult!

    Thanks,Blondie

Para 12 Says "Jesus will for the 1st time act as judge of all nations AFTER the destruction of false religion"

What does Jesus judge if false religion(made of all the people of all nations) are destroyed.

Para 13 Jesus judges the people as sheep or goats. What is he judging? Are they not destroyed.see para 12.

Watchtower-you do not know the bible.you are going around in circles. Next you will have new light on 1914,

Don't force people to obey your silly explanation of the bible.

Thanks for your hard work blondie, for people like myself who might be struggling to see past the DECADES of ingrained forced thinking, you bring out the logical fallacies, errors, and contradictions that we're TRAINED NOT TO SEE.

And thanks for posting this one before the study, it really helped..

    Regards,
