Success on his second try would quell the doubts of the socalled 'challenge' to gods soveriegnty. No need for all this messiness throughout the earth. If yhwh failed on his second try, that would pretty well clinch that hes a failure and satan was right, as per wt doctrine.

It is quite obvious by now that the WTS. right back from its very beginning in the late 1800's exploited people's ignorance concerning

the bible and its accurate interpretation.

Mainly focusing on the grand return of Christ, as quite an attainable professed doctrine to use and exploit.

What wasn't really in the bible they superimposed their own interpretation something that would be more commercial appealing

    to the general public .

1975 was just another of those self created doctrines which didn't have any truthful viability to it, another than it

was a great doctrine to create attention to lure even more people to the JWS and its own self produced literature.

The implication of applying fear still continues to this day to hold their followers in check and keep them faithfully subservient.

First wave of Watchtower believers: Their purpose was character development until the bus arrived at Armageddon to take them to the playground.

Second wave of Watchtower believers: Their purpose was vindicating Jehovah's name even if they had to jury-rig their own bible to do so.

Third wave of Watchtower believers: Their purpose (now that it was well known that Yaweh is more accurate) is to hiss at apostacy and discourage education while insisting on absolute loyalty to the GB.

The magazines and the content are thin.
