Think of all the anxious souls who barely escaped THE END OF 6,000 YEARS OF HUMAN EXISTENCE in 1975. They were saved!

    Saved from.... What?

    Oh, NOTHING!

Who were trying to save them? Jehovah's Witnesses!

    Save them from what?

THE END of....um....6,000 years of human existence which ENDED in 1975.

What the hell are you talking about??

Come with us now to those thrilling days of yesteryear......

The new book THE TRUTH THAT LEADS TO ETERNAL LIFE was released by the Watchtower corporation in 1968.

Inside the book, for a second time since 1966, a chronology was presented.

The purpose of this chronology was to---without coming right out and saying so---warn that the 1,000 year reign of Christ would come in 1975.

This is a back-handed way of also declaring: "Oh, yeah--that would have to mean Armageddon, too!"

From 1968 to 1975 is a period of 84 months. During those 84 months, millions of Jehovah's Witnesses ran around like headless chickens!

Their sole purpose was to conduct 6 month bible studies ending in baptism of everyday people whom they had warned!

    WHY?

65 MILLION PEOPLE bought the "Truth" book according to the Guiness Book of World Records!

A NONSENSE PREMISE which made no mathematical sense was at work! Jehovah was being FAIR by warning people (through JW's).

Jehovah was fair because God does not desire that anyone be destroyed!

Does that premise have a provable logic to it?

    HELL NO! Consider the following...

    FIGURES DON'T LIE...but liars figure!

18,144,000 babies were born while Jehovah's Witnesses were "warning" about 1975

The message for those babies who are now in their 30's and 40's is that "We warned your parents about a date that meant nothing!"

    How does that wash credibility-wise?

The Watchtower premise that people are getting a fair shake because the noble bros. and sis's are knocking doors doesn't stand up to even casual scrutiny.

They have been at it since 1879.

They can't keep up, catch up or staunch the hemorrhage of "endangered" souls to be saved!

    HOW CAN THIS BE PROVED?

There are approximately 216,000 babies born every day in the whole entire world.

If every woman every place on Earth suddenly stopped conceiving at the same time, it would take 9 months for all the babies in wombs to be born.

How many babies would that be by the end of that 9 months?

(At approximately 30 days per month=270 days)

    270 TIMES 216,000 = 58,320,000 (58 million!)

Are you ready to use that information to refute Matthew 24:14?

    Matthew 24:14

    King James Version (KJV)

14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

How many JehovahWitnesses are there in the world?

The 2010 official statistics in the Watchtower publications give a figure of just over seven and a half million (7,500,000) as the peak number of Witnesses

    who reported time spent preaching....

Houston, we have a MATH PROBLEM!

If every Jehovah's Witness spent 10 hours in the ministry every month they would still have 58 MILLION more to preach to regardless of how many they have already reached EVERY MONTH!

    ________________________________________________________________

    SECOND problem:

When Armageddon comes there will be at any one instant 58 million unborn babies STILL IN THE WOMB!

If Jehovah destroys 58 million UNBORN, what is the point in preaching to anybody at anytime in history to give a "fair chance"??

DO THE MATH: the premise of the preaching work of Jehovah's Witnesses doesn't pass the smell test.

Remember, in those 84 months, the best Jehovah's Witnesses could do was sell 65 millions books.

With 58 million people yet to be born even while their parents were reading them!

18,144,000 babies were born while Jehovah's Witnesses were "warning" about 1975.

It is illogical and provably so: the math doesn't work and neither does the premise.

    There! Don't say I didn't explain it.

Now, you go out and explain it to Jehovah's Witnesses!

I often wondered if I saw someone about to fall off a cliff, wouldn't it be better to not save them because they would be resurrected into the new system. Its crazy when your religions gets one thinking like this.

Terry's premise is quite simple: compare the progression of the world population and the progression of the growth of the JW's. If the progression of the world population is faster than that of the Witnesses, then it is mathematically impossible that the Witnesses can reach out (based on 10 hours a month, average) every person in the world.

    However ....

One can argue that the jw.org Website is a new tool that can reach vast amounts of people simultaneously with the message. And this alone disrupts the logic of your reasoning, Terry.

This logic can simply be refuted by one saying that babies destroyed will be resurrected in the new system.

    @ EdenOne,

To say that Terry's premise is false, we need more info. How many hits does JW.org get every day? Who are the actual visitors? Are they JW's? If Jw's are the true visitors to JW.org, and then simply proceed to put in the same quality and quantity of service, essentially reaching the same percentage of people in their territory, then there is no way they can keep up with the population.

I think JW.org is primarily for the JW's. It's the equivalent to a commercial, advertising the spiritual paradise. Instead of looking through a book and dwelling on the future paradise earth, the Jw's focus on the " spiritual paradise/Organization " now. It's right in front of them, like the Golden Calf. It's a virtual meeting or convention part, a shot in the arm during their routine life. It doesn't effect the preaching work that much for most dubs. Jw's don't go out more, the quality of preaching isn't any better. Just look at the new magazines for proof.

Jw.org is not designed to further the preaching work. It's designed to keep the Jw's motivated. It's like SHAPE magazine, it's not designed to get you into shape. If you were really taught how to get in shape and stay in shape, then SHAPE goes out of business. Yet, issue after issue is printed, each one containing attractive success stories. The covers have models who have never been out of shape, and have no idea what it is like to struggle from day to day. Still many will try and try to be just like those ideal figures they see advertised. Day after day, month after month, year after year. The get fit in 10 minutes a day routines appeal to those struggling, it eases your conscience and you feel better, but it's not a life changing routine. Maybe next month's issue will have "the" routine for you! It's never ending.

That's JW.org. That's the WT and Awake. Advertisements. Never ending advertisements. Attractive spiritual success stories that YOU can have too! Very few preach any more because of them. Really those unrealistic ideals of a "spiritual paradise" now, only dissapoint when they are proven false. When did Jesus ever say that his followers would live in any kind of spiritual paradise, insulated from hardship? Never. In fact, the opposite is true, they would experience persecution and challenges. Those words don't sell anything to the masses. People want easy 10 minute routines from SHAPE, they don't want a grueling 1-2 hour Navy Seal routine. Guess which one really works and requires no monthly subscriptions and make you self-sufficient and independent?

I know what you are saying about Jw's and their thinking. They may claim that Jw.org is reaching millions. I bet it's reaching millions of Jw's and a few non-witnesses, even "opposers" are checking it out. A witnesses may think that Jw.org refutes Terry's logic, but I think they would be wrong. The general ignorance of Dubs does not refute anything really, perhaps in their minds it does.

The real question to ask a JW, is if they believe that God, a God who is Love, will destroy billions just because they happened to be born in China or India. Then give them some information about population growth. Really, no JW will reason unless they have started to awaken, and that's who the information is for, that's who we try to reach. We are just casting seed, and it will grow where it can.

Great post, Terry. Sorry for the long response, and for getting a bit sidetracked.

Surely the logical thing is for JW's to become JH's, Jehovah's Hitmen, if they preach to a person at the door and that person does not respond, they are toast at Armageddon.

If the J Hitman walks up to the door and, without speaking, shoots the HH between the eyes, that person goes "straight in to the New System". It would take far less time too, so they would be saving many more souls.

They still would not keep up with all the births though, I had better re-think that one. Maybe shoot all pregnant women ??
