I'm going to share with you all a reply I got from a witnesses after I sent an article from nbc news regarding the Conti sex abuse case. In many ways I think it's quite telling and revealing into the mind of a Dubbie. This is the actuall reply

Hello I read the material you sent me but I do not think it is true. The association warns us not to seek out information from the official web sight.if this claim were true it would be stamped on the front page of the site...because the organisation has always been transparent! Do not want to give margin. But we should not worry because any error involved jehovah began cleaning with in your own organisation, no one will go unpunished.

I just thought to myself if only he knew. Because of the fine line that I walk and have to be carefull about what I say so I just quickly changed the subject. The guy Just had no idea of what is going on or was interested in knowing. Its no wonder the WBTS is in the current tangle it is in.

If I hear one more "Jehovah will straighten it out" I will scream!

Joe134cd, interesting reply, very standard reply, meaning that all is well in their paradise and they don't want to hear it. I guess there is peace when you just put your head in the sand.

I don't think jehovah has to straighten this one out, because the NBC just made it up. Its with out foundation and the problem just dosnt exist. Problem solved.

I've come to believe that they don't want to know the truth. If they accept that these things are happening in "their true religion" and they whole heartedly believe and devote their entire lives to it, then what does that say about them? Some of them just can't handle it.

Sadly that is how I tried to reason it out in my mind until a sexual psychopath pedophile moved into my hall and I had to face reality. And yes his court records calls him in incurable sexual psychopath but none of the elders would look at his public court records. It was then that I had to decide that the religion was crazy.

Yep "Jehovah will sort it out" and "Jehovah will provide in His own due time" ...

And when those doctrinal teachings of the Watch Tower Society fail, as they did in the Conti case, there is always the attorneys and the "Travelers And Surety Company of America" to fall back on.

WHEN ALL ELSE FAILS AND THE FACTS ARE JUST TOO PAINFUL, JUST DENY THEM.

I don't get that site. I find it suspicious that they have that info on that site but no one (except apostates) would be likely to visit it. They would go to JW.org. Do you think they purposefully timed the site update so they could bury that update on the old site?

They can then easily say if someone accuses them of covering it up "But we put it on our media site!" - technically they did, but they then drew attention away to the new site.

    Am I imagining things?

Did they transfer other news stories from the old one to the new one, or just started fresh?
