It seems to me that religion as a natural by product of man evolution that came about due to larger neocortex, and was instrumental in the development of cities and finally bigger governments, will eventually be faded out just like beleif in past superstitions have faded out and no longer beleive. That is the trend it seems and education, along with science is the cause and so those that beleive and make a living from their beleif would understandably be against education because of its threat to lively hood and cherished delusions of the world and how it operates.
These things changes in man's understanding have a way or dynamic all their own.
