Are you sure they are serving your country, or is someone making mega $$$ from the government and these are dumb pawns.

Were the Israelites serving the GOD of the hebrew scriptures / old testament when they obeyed his direction to slaughter"old man old woman and child ,spare no one " of many nations ? or were they just dumb pawns.

I guess their are a couple of other ways of looking at it .

If everybody in The USA ,Aust ,GB , etc, and their allies (heaven forbid ) from the end of the 19th century had pursued a pacifist or neutralist or conscientious stance , this world of which you enjoy the most beneficial freedoms would not exist.

Are you for real ? look at the history of Russia and its intolerance of dissidents

look at the history of germany in 2 world wars and their treatment of dissidents .

Then look at Japan and their treatment of people under their domination.

If Japan Russia Germany or any conglomerate of these nations back then had one the war ,you and I would not be talking now ,

Some wars are necessary others are not. Todays wars in Iq and Af are not honourable and will be remembered for that. The UK+the empire started WW2, while AMerica stayed back and made business out of the war. While America did help the UK, they also bankrupted the empire w/ their supply deals. Today instead of ripping off other govs, business in America is ripping the American gov, hence the need for an imaginery enemy after the USSR collapsed.

When the UK declared war, it became WW2, before that it wasnt a world war. Hitler never declared war on poland, he ignore international protocol and just invaded them. The UK just made it formal following established rules.
