When you first see the process you’d swear there’s voodoo at work. An elder places a mirror very close to the victim and observes anxiously.
Some say he’s checking for vampires. Other’s say he’s trying to scare demons away.
He’s really only trying to confirm fogging of the mirror.
Then you’re good to go.

Qualifications for a dipper?
1) elder
2) Be in good standing personally with the assembly / convention overseer
I did it once, when I was still a full-on WTS believer. It was a nice change of pace - it was something different to do at an assembly.
I am an active baptizer.
The premier quality is that you befriend the necessary people and get your name known.
I've headed up a few circuit departments this way.
