So, does the following mean that Jesus did not reject the churches in a 1918 investigative judgment?

17 In the past, we have stated in our
publications that these last four references
apply to Jesus’ arriving, or coming,
in 1918. As an example, take Jesus’
statement about “the faithful and discreet
    slave.” (Read Matthew 24:45-47.)
We understood that the “arriving” mentioned
in verse 46 was linked to the time
when Jesus came to inspect the spiritual
condition of the anointed in 1918 and
that the appointment of the slave over
all the Master’s belongings occurred in
    1919. (Mal. 3:1) However, a further consideration
    of Jesus’ prophecy indicates
that an adjustment in our understanding
of the timing of certain aspects of Jesus’
    prophecy is needed.Why so?
18 In the verses that lead up to Matthew
    24:46, the word “coming” refers
consistently to the time when Jesus
comes to pronounce and execute judgment
    during the great tribulation. (Matt.
    24:30, 42, 44)

''Finally, we examined why Jesus’ arrival to appoint the faithful slave over all his belongings did not occur in 1919 but will take place during the great tribulation''.

well well well....now they have to revise the proclaimers book.

Their doctrine still relies on 1914 as much as it ever did. The increased focus on 1919 is just a distraction to take some focus off 1914.

Both Seraphim23 and LostGeneration are right. Theologically, the changes in this WT are significant since now the borg is teaching things like all the anointed are gone to heaven before Armageddon---how? Who takes over? Are they now ready to start embracing the rapture doctrine?

The current interpretation of the sheep & goats parable means people get saved without having to serve Jehovah beforehand, just as 'dazed but not confused' has pointed out (http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/watchtower/bible/250635/1/Whats-the-incentive-for-becoming-a-JW-now-July-15th-2013-Watchtower), a REAL change in WT theology!

The borg's current conjectures will lead to all kinds of theological problems, but LostGeneration is right, very few Witness care about this stuff. They are far more interested in the practical concerns of daily life, including where and with whom to socialize.

But a few will care about this significant change in theology. Will it lead to problems for the borg? We'll see....

Perhaps most interesting in the big picutre is why suddenly there is this interest in the GB's part to start waxing so theological. As many have noted on this forum for some time, the official publications have become dry and repetitive for years. Whatever these newest ravings are, the fact that they have occurred at all is really noteworthy.

I thought they abandoned that years ago, like Oct 1 1995

The WT, the Mediator of "Truth", has the same confidence about its symbolic Gehenna doctrine

as it had concerning the 1914 (gen) doctrine (before they changed it).

If I read the Bible I come to this conclusion; The non-believers will meet suffer and pain in the Lake of Fire, day and night, with no rest, in eternety. I feel 100% totally safe and confident, without a fraction of doubt, that Gehenna is just symbolic. What a relief to KNOW for SURE. WatchTower, thank you so much for the TRUTH.

What it means is this is a spiritual coup de grace of final waffling confusion. As JWs were once avid "type" and "anti-type" advocates of repeating principles at work in a number of Bible recorded prophecies that are now world history, as in their allusion to 66-70 CE Jerusalems demolition, this final opportunity to teach a final relicating principle of judgment and all it's "types" in some times 3 pre-existing forms, including 1914, is now completely abandoned for a total undermining of every anointed princple in JW former teachings, as it will soon unravel ALL of the anointed "types".

They are actually deprogramming the replcation of prophecy, while using references to it's past fulfillments to reinforce various rationale of their actual new quagmire of confusion. They don't only undermine all of Daniel 12 and 1914 meaning, tey undermine the entire former JW system of faith with a total waffling act that is plain absurdity set as "food at the proper time" in the way they handle an explanation, that is already explained in the former fulfillments in principle, that they de-explain and confuse in this engineered hogwash.

    =

For example Christ does not even show up until AFTER the tribulation ends:

(Matthew 24:29-31) “Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 30 And then the sign of the Son of man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will beat themselves in lamentation, and they will see the Son of man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And he will send forth his angels with a great trumpet sound, and they will gather his chosen ones together from the four winds, from one extremity of the heavens to their other extremity.

Yet that WT article is explaining many Christ events during the "great tribulation", when in fact Christ is not present at such time until it concludes.

Thus little details right from the Bible show Bethel is obviously not actually studying the Bible, or "receiving revelations", it is just one big purposeful confusion, hodge podging a final Christian deformation to suit there needs of actually attempting to reinvent the whole JW religion further, in this final desecration of their own "prophetic rules".

I wonder how they would explain the Daniel 8:25 "freedom from care" that must develop as that tribulation actually ends into a "peace and security" that would have to be years after the initial tribulation event beginning.

They are thereby teaching a tribulation that actually must end (Matt24:29), as the end itself, but in fact it is the beginning of a world recovery "freedom from care" under a world government (when that tribulation ends), and Christ does not arrive until AFTER all those events take place. They are making JWs believe that tribulation starting is as good as the "end of the world", when in fact it must be beginning a final cycle to go on for some years, that must start with "the house of God" (1Pet4:17), not a Babylon the Great still present at Rev16:12-16 finality, deep in 6th plague timing, which destruction would mark the end of the tribulation, not it's beginning.

So in effect, JWs are now done and deconstructed by their very own clerics, the contradictions of their own former framework, prophetic rules and Bible sequences are now a total Bethel ratnest. This really does signal a certain end of the JW organization, it is now a totally mutated and completely different religion tan say 1950 JWs.

Strangely, the harmonious solution is already in the orignal patterns, merely replicating, that are now being erased and totally shuffled helter skelter, and all principles of history or propecy repeating itself is also not considered. Very strange indeed. (Isa28:21).

Oh, well - the early church had to abandon the idea that Jesus was coming back in the time of that generation - Luke 21:32

So the WTS is just following their example.

That makes it all A OK !
