How Many Parts of the Circle of Life Does Paradise Break? (page 3)

In the documentary Moment of Death (onNetflixright now), the doctors made a point. It is natural for cells to die throughout our life. If the cells didn't die, we'd be freaky big. So, how can Paradise be "no death," when death is a requirement of living?

I think most people don’t really understand the Millennium, especially if they’ve been reading the Watchtower and other Adventist pubs. Again, during the Millennium, people will still be born, live and whether they are subsequently resurrected or die is up to them and the lives they lead. True, Satan and his angels will be gone and unable to lead us astray, but people will still be able to sin because of their own perceived self interests and their free agency, which God will not deprive them of.

In that day, enmity between men and beasts will end as well as enmity between beasts. People in that day will “translated” — that is, changed or, if you wish, receive an upgrade. They will, if prophecy pans out, live to be about a hundred years old, then they will receive their final upgrade if they are righteous. And by that I mean resurrected. Resurrected beings will be able to traverse time and space and won’t require food to live. Translated beings will not be subject to death, will not suffer pain of fatigue, experience cold or heat and, if injured, will be able to healed almost instantaneously. Being embodied spirits, they won’t have the corrupting element of blood coursing through their veins nor will they need to shed cells in lieu of new ones.

Animals will have similar blessings and also will be resurrected along with other creatures covered by the Atonement of Christ. Paul, to the Corinthians, explains it this way: (See I Corinthians 15)

But some man will say, How are the dead raised? And with what body do they come? Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not made alive again, except it die: And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain. But God gives it a body as it has pleased him, and to every seed his own body. All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds.

Here he’s speaking of the resurrection and he likens it to the differences between and in all things. The dead cannot be raised unless it has first died, and by death it is meant the separation of the body and the spirit. It doesn’t make any difference what you’re given in this world and your pathetic limitations, God will raise you a “body as it has pleased him.” And to every “seed” after its own kind: human to human, animal to animal and so forth. Not all flesh is the same, whether it be men, beasts, fish or birds.
There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another. There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory. So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption. It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power. It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a lifegiving spirit. Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.

As there are heavenly bodies and terrestrial bodies, and the differences between them substantial beyond the understanding of men, so shall there be varying differences in the resurrection. There is a glory of the sun, another for the moon, and another glory of the stars. The same should be expected of the resurrection. For as one glory differs from another in the heavens, not only the glories of the sun, moon and stars, there exist many glories amongst suns, many glories amongst moons and the same of stars, for some twinkle more brightly than others. Jehovah will judge all men and nations and resurrect all life to whatever bodies he so judges and dispenses.

The first man is of the earth, earthy; the second man is the Lord from heaven. As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly. And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly. Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

As Adam was made with the physical limitations of the earth (though God gave him an immortal body, it was a prison, having no glory or potential. Jesus Christ was, on the other hand, heavenly in nature. If one compares what Adam and Eve were like in the Garden and what Jesus was like in his resurrection, it will be readily observed that Adam and Eve’s were sadly lacking. Both were physical, immortal beings being subject to neither illness, injury or other foibles of fallen man; however, Adam had not the power to walk through a wall or to leave the earth and travel countless billions of light years in a single thought. He was not able to grasp countless concepts and designs and work on them all at the same time. He also could not exercise direct power over his domain except what God gave him. So Paul reminds us that not all immortality is the same.
As mortals, we’ve all shared the terrestrial, or “earthy” aspects that kept us from being perfect. But we have the prospects of being raised as coheirs with Jehovah himself. And once everything is perfected, judged and squared away, Jehovah will then present the redeemed and glorified Earth back to his Father. Then the Atonement will be complete.
Oh, and speaking of the redeemed and glorified Earth, even this very planet must go through the same steps. The earth was created for Adam and his posterity, but when Adam fell, it fell. As it had been pleasant and beautiful, it now was fraught with danger and was subject to mortality. With the “flood” it was baptized, and by the fire that will next come it will be baptized by the Spirit, and by “fire.” After the Millennium, the earth will be changed from its upgraded Millennial condition to its final resurrected state. The change between what it was during most of the Fall and what it will be like during the Millennium is nothing compared to what it will be during its resurrection. In short, the earth will be forever changed into a blazing star; though unlike stars in our neck of the woods, Earth will not convert and burn massive fuel elements. Being immortal it will never show the least sign of entropy.
So from Paul’s comments, we can ascertain that in man’s resurrection, there will be three distinct degrees of glory correlating to the sun, moon and stars. But even in each of those three, there will be differing glories among people. No one will be resurrected to being spirits, because where would be the perfection in that? You were first created a spirit, then the spirit was placed in mortal bodies with the capability of achieving death through Adam and perfection through Christ.
