Great post, except I have to agree with Blondie ... it only took them over 35 years to admit the truth about the sexual exploitation of minors! They covered things up and tried to weasel out of it for decades, but the pedophilia was just too wide spread. Oh, and we are STILL having priests and higher-ups being exposed for child pornography and molestation to this very day ... so I have to disagree on that point.

And so it began, in 1975, Mount Cashel, Newfoundland, Canada.

    1975 criminal investigation

In December 1975 the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) began an investigation into physical and sexual abuse allegations at the Mount Cashel Orphanage. This resulted in 5 staff who were members of the Christian Brothers of Ireland in Canada being implicated by 20 residents. The investigation was curtailed by the Chief of the RNC on instruction from the Department of Justice, despite 2 members of the CBIC admitting sexual wrongdoing. No further residents were interviewed and the 2 staffmembers were placed in treatment centres outside the province and then transferred to other CBIC-operated institutions in Canada.[6]

Maybe by 2035 or so, the JWS will finally acknowledge their complicity, in the same time frame it took the RCC to do the same.

Great post, though, and so true!

    I love this thread

The RCC has a bank of Cardinals who are in charge of giving religious and spiritual advice.

The WTS has a bank of corporate lawyers who are in charge of giving investment, avoiding doctrinal minefields and tax avoidance advice. (Think "amicus curiae" in the Jimmy Swaggart book-selling case and no more catered food at District Assemblies.)

The RCC also has it's own Bank...in fact...it's own city. And I'm sure...they have a bank of lawyers too that handle all their investments and criminal activity. Not to mention the RCC had Mother Teresa as a great revenue gatherer...most of which went back to the vatican bank...and was not disclosed to the authourities of they country it was gathered in.

And heres a tidbit for you...

The Vatican City is the world's smallest state, being only around 44 hectares (110 acres).

In July 2007, the Vatican agreed to become the first carbon neutral state. They plan to accomplish this by offsetting carbon dioxide emissions with the creation of a Vatican Climate Forest in Hungary. [19]

    Vatican Climate Forest

    From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Vatican Climate Forest, to be located in the Bükk National Park , Hungary, was donated to the Vatican City by a carbon offsetting company. The forest is to be sized to offset the carbon emissions generated by the Vatican during 2007. [1] The Vatican's acceptance of the offer, at a ceremony on July 5, 2007, was reported as being "purely symbolic", [1] and a way to encourage Catholics to do more to safeguard the planet. [2] No trees have been planted under the project and the carbon offsets have not materialised. [3] [4]

In a more proactive move to combat global warming, in May 2007, the Vatican announced that the roof of the Paul VI Audience Hall would be covered with photovoltaic panels. [5] The installation was officially placed into service on November 26, 2008. [6]

I wonder if we'll see these going up on Kingdom hall roofs any time soon...lol

Its funny how Vatican means soothsayer and the original Vatican hill in Rome was the hill allocated too witches and soothsayers. The romans didnt think much of these characters so they placed the hill outside the city proper at the time. If i recall Watchtowers are pagan as well and can be found on tarot cards. So much for christian purity.

    What a list!

    The differences seem rather cosmetic.

Same foul engine and fuel under the hood.

Same contempt for the "unabridged gospel" that liberates people from the control of the foul "ruling religious clergy class".

(Why does the "true religion" secretly blind its followers to the "Good News" according to Paul, Moses, Isaiah and Psalms?)

    mP:

There is no good news in any of the four writings. They all are foul and if we lived under their system of law we would consider it worse than hell. Paul was an arsehole, in Philemon he doesnt help the run away slave but tells him to go back for more. What a completely areshole, instead of helping the jew escape hitler, you actlike a traitor and turn them in. What a champion, who needs friends like that.
