Justice may be blind but one of the cornerstones of a just system is openness. The public is welcome to scrutinize the process and read the judgements. We have a right to be judged by a panel of our peers.

Too bad the WTS does not open itself to the same scrutiny and care in their judicial process.

    Some more background.

Even though the Freeminds article is dated to 2009, the information had been around for longer. The author posted about this in the early 2000s. Now this is interesting because, when the WTS/GB instructed that the Revelation Climax book was to be studied for the 4th mind-numbing time in 2006, one of the many changes to be made to the content was this:

km 9/06 p. 3 Adjustments for the Book Revelation—Its Grand Climax At Hand!

    CHAPTER 6

    [...]

    p. 32, box, replace first paragraph with: ... Early in 1918 the Kingdom activity of Jehovah’s people met with great opposition. It was a time of testing earth wide, and fearful ones were sifted out. In May 1918 Christendom’s clergy instigated the imprisonment of officials of the Watch Tower Society, but nine months later these were released. Later, the false charges against them were dropped. From 1919 the organization of God’s people, tried and refined, moved zealously forward to proclaim Jehovah’s Kingdom by Christ Jesus as the hope for mankind.—Malachi 3:1-3.

The book had originally said: "Later, they were completely exonerated for the false charges against them." I'd like to think that it was changed because the WTS/GB had publicly, on the internet, with supporting documentation, been called out on this misrepresentation of what happened (although they still insisted the charges were false).
