This was a good one! I don't really read the text, but I noticed it while researching something else. The example of Korah is a favorite scare tactic of Religious leaders, and has been used through the ages. My take is this, If someone is wrong you tell them. If a BOE is wrong for not telling you a pedo is in your KH, then you call them on it, respectfully if possible. If they choose to lable you as rebellious and give your microphone privileges to a 10 year old kid, so be it.. If they persecute you for speaking truth, well...that is on them and they will be held accountable.

The GB are not in the seat of Moses, and the Elders are not princes or stars in Jesus' hand. That is the cold hard truth.

Can we acknowledge the position of those taking the lead among us and submit to directions we receive?

But wait, I thought serving God wasn't about emphasis on stuff like position, you know--isn't that supposed to be what separates JWs from Christendom, that they're all brothers and there's no clergy class? Oh. "You may not have noticed it--but your brain did." They've convinced you that they're not lording it over you, and in doing so have made it all the easier for them to lord it over you.

The tutor--the Law--was supposed to lead the spiritual children to Christ, and then they were supposed to grow up. The Society has become the tutor that doesn't seem to know how to get to school. Or has intentionally gotten lost because he realizes that once the students find Christ, he'll no longer be in charge of them. Hmm. Wonder which one it could be?

So, put up & shut up elders, and anyone else....suck up any personal feelings & get on with it.

If you are disappointed.....cause what we've told you was going to happen hasn't...that's your failing.

Another encouraging message from the WTBTS!

ill bet a million JWs are reading this at the breakfast table, and taking their anti depressants at the same time...and not making a connection.

We have to look at the whole context of the situation ... Korah, Datan and Abiram ... yes it was rebelious spirit, but they deep down they were acusing Moses of taking them out of Egypt to kill them in the dessert on his own account not because God sent him ... the Israelites did this time after time ... the Watchtower again it is just milking this story for their own benefit and scare the sheep ...lol...

Actually it has nothing to do with the "elders and others" today ...lol... back then and ONLY back then it had to do with the supremacy of the priesthood ... Moses was a prophet who told the Israelites that another prophet like him would come and that they need to obey him - this being JESUS ... it was important to show that God indeed sent Moses, just like he was going to send Jesus one day ...

Samuel was a descendant of Korah, and some Psalms were written by his descendants too.

So the stories in the bible have a deeper meaning and EVERYTHING in the Law and the Prophets is about The Messiah, Jesus, not the Watchtower CORPORATION .,.

Exactly ... they all miss the whole point of what this story is really telling us about The Messiah Jesus ...
