Is having sex while a woman is on her period a sin(according to the bible)?

The "sin", dear MN (peace to you!), is the disregard for the woman... who may need "a moment, here." Some women have no problem during this time of the month for them; others, not so much. Israel, who is a hard-headed, hard-hearted, stiff-necked "house" often disregarded the underlying purpose of the Law... LOVE... and so the laws had to be... mmmmmm... exacting. This period of "uncleanness" for a woman was NOT to make her inferior... but to allow her some DIGNITY... in a time when women were afforded very little dignity.
During this time many women need... some time. There are all kinds of accompanying body "functions" that occur. Israel was a tribal people back then, though, and even after having resided among the Egyptians showed themselves to be lacking as to "civilization." Without such a law, certain men would have taken women, sideways to Sunday, even during their cycle. By telling Israel that a woman was UNCLEAN during this time (and creating a period of cleansing where sex was prohibited), it allowed a woman TIME... because of the FEAR it elucidated in men who would not otherwise care. It allowed relief of some of the pressure women may have faced... during a time when there were women had NO "civil" rights, or books, radio, TV, Internet, bars, shopping, sunbathing, jobs, etc., that otherwise "occupy" women today.
The woman who studied with me once confided something that I thought was... astonishing is the word that comes to mind: she was truly at her wits end because during her menstruation, her elder husband not only withheld sex, but affection entirely. During her "time," he would roll over to his side, not kiss or hug her, not even TOUCH her... and it truly made her FEEL "unclean." She told me that she took the matter to the CO's wife and asked that "someone" mention it to the CO so that perhaps he could talk to her husband... or maybe even all the husbands. The CO's wife's response? Something to the extent that SHE would like such a talk, because it would perhaps help HER husband!
I was shocked. I couldn't imagine a "husband" treating a wife so! So, okay, she was "unclean" because of her period... but shouldn't that evoke some kind of sympathy and compassion, even pity... versus revulsion??
I asked my Lord about this matter when he and I first started talking and he said that although the particular law was meant to PROTECT women and their dignity during this time, Israel did with it what they did with ALL of the Law: took it to levels and measures even the Most Holy One of Israel (God) did not intend. As they always did.
The only UNFORGIVABLE sin, dear one... is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit (the glorified Christ). So, if you (or someone) had sex with a menstruating women and feel "horrible" about it... or she feels such... unlike under the Law, which would require, what, a couple of doves... a goat... for a "sacrifice"?... there is One whose blood can "cover" the error/transgression against that Law... if you are willing to put faith IN that One... and the cleansing power OF his blood. HIS yoke is kindly... and his load is light. Because the only requirement under HIS law... is love: for Him, for God, for one's own flesh (self, spouse, children)... one's brother, one's neighbor... strangers... and one's enemies. Really, that's it.
I hope this helps and, again, peace to you!
A slave of Christ,
