The fact is, I have never backed down from any serious challenge presented by an apostate.

Where's the challenge in that? The whole prophecy of Zechariah is about how Jehovah goes about restoring the priesthood and kingship so that the end result is a holy nation. You don't really want me to do a verse-by-verse commentary on Zechariah do you? LOL / You Know
I'm a little confused.
If Jehovah will only forgive the "elect", why ask the person to be baptized if he has repented, or why do the elders demand repentance before someone can be re-instated? Yet Jehovah does not forgive? Isn't this going above the chain of command?

LOL / You Knowwell, i figured youd find a way to wiggle out of the challenge presented to you, and you have......youve made this about zechariah, when in fact you know its about the comment YOU made and being able to back it up with the bible...thats the real challenge. but, deceptively youve picked apart my words and chose to side-step once again....so ill rephrase for you.
