Since many Witnesses choose to die - or risk death - in
operations that call for blood, it is not surprizing that
they used to concern themselves with not eating blood.

So, you had District Overseers like Br. Scaglione railing
against 'Sizzlelean' breakfast strips - but strangely (!!)
no one ever brought up the matter of milk - being full of
cow white blood cells. If the Society was honest (you're kidding, right?), they would warn Witnesses against drinking
    milk.

    Well, here's another one

Currently, body building supplements are popular - in particular
    powdered whey based protein drinks.

You might want to check the label - for 'bovine albumen'
    or even 'bovine blood proteins'.

    I like the chocolate kind

Fake bacon. With the dreaded LECITHIN ingredient. BTW, I cook my bacon on my George Foreman grill. No fat, lays flat.

Meta, drop me an email if you want.

    hahahahahaha "lethicin"........ what a memory!!

I remember someone in our congregation got a dressing down by the CO (this was in the 70s) for suggesting that we take our break during Saturday morning field service at the local Dairy Queen. He bellowed that DQ ice cream was FULL of blood by virtue of the fact that one of the ingredients was "lethicin" (which, incidentally, he pronounced LESSITHIN... ummm adds to yer kredibility if y'all ackshully no howta say it rite! )

We didn't darken the doors of the DQ for many many summers, until someone had the guts to write to the DQ head office and was informed that the lethicin in their ice cream was derived from vegetable sources, not from blood. DUH!

And how about that nice juicy medium rair steak. When you cut into it all the red juice comes out on your plate. mmmmmm Yes, most Dubs don't mind having their yummy blood that way.

What was Br Scaglione's first name? What it Paul?
