We were taught in early WTS publications our Lord Jesus Christ inspected all religions throughout the Earth. All religions failed to meet our Master's expectations, except this little group in Atlanta's Federal Prison. If Jesus took a hand's on approach with these members, why has he not kept the modern day Jehovah's Witness Organization clean? The Pedophiles were not dealt with in a Biblical style, group-class distinctions and creature worship creeped back into the Organization with Rutherford, and even to this day, we have people who are more worried about pleasing men, than remaining loyal to Jehovah and Jesus Christ. Could this topic be embelished by other members on JWN, who know more about Jesus Christ's refinement of the men who went to jail in 1917?

Very true! Hear is my recent article on the subject, which focusses attention on The Finished Mystery:

Time for him to come back but this time NOT invisibly. OR ...

Jesus is a dead guy... and he's never coming back. Ever. So it will be up to the JWs to do their own house cleaning. If they survive. Forever is a long time. Most things have a lifespan. They are a relatively new religion. Not sure they have what it takes for staying power.

Its amazing from one verse in matthew which has but a few dozen words, the WTS has managed to publish thousands of books and articles. THis compression far exceeds any compression found in typical computers. That ratio kills ZIP, RAR etc.

    BA,

    Good point,.

Have you read "Captives of a Concept" by Don Cameron?

It's a great read and basically it dismantles the WTBTS claim to be chosen by Jesus in 1919 and gives loads of reasons as to why they could not be "the faithful and discreet slave"

We were taught in early WTS publications our Lord Jesus Christ inspected all religions throughout the Earth. All religions failed to meet our Master's expectations, except this little group in Atlanta's Federal Prison.

And yet paradoxically, during the period of inspection/appointment they were considered polluted and were therefore punished:

    w97 5/1 p. 20 par. 8 Messengers of Godly Peace Pronounced Happy

Just as prophesied, starting in 1919, Jehovah cleansed his people and reinvigorated them to serve him. They began to remove from their spiritual environment all the Babylonish practices and doctrines that polluted them in his eyes.

Paradise Restored (1972) chap. 15 pp. 250-251 par. 26 Many Nations Go to the City of Divine Favor

In modern times Jehovah has been true to this promise which applies equally as much to the faithful remnant of spiritual Israel. For delinquencies, they were scattered from their God-given spiritual estate during World War I. But today they can look back over the many years since their restoration in 1919 C.E. and can see how marvelously well the God whose name they bear has dealt with them for their work at restoring his pure worship.

    w72 3/15 p. 173 par. 18 The Delight of Jehovah Will Succeed

Not only were they "purchased with the blood of his [God's] own Son," but they were repurchased, or bought back, when a further deliverance became necessary in the World War I period. They fell captive to "Babylon the Great." Though they had mostly come out of Christendom's churches, they retained certain Babylonish traits, such as fear of man and creature worship. This incurred God's displeasure, requiring them to be disciplined and cleansed.

I always used to see this as a contradiction, as a dub. On the one hand we were told that Christ selected the Bible Students for their sincerity and faith , but also they said that they were disciplined for "unclean beliefs"..

I am thinking as I write here, but after 1919 they retained for a long time The Cross; Birthdays; Christmas; the belief that the "presence began prior to 1914; a wrong idea of the "superior authorities" ; non neutrality..... and more.

    So how were they cleansed?

Right. How can God be displeased with them for their 'delinquencies' so that He disciplines them, and yet at the same time His Son is so pleased with their faithfulness and discretion that he rewards them? It's nuts.

According to the WT, the "remnant" needed cleansing, but Christendom, "the most reprehensible part of Babylon the Great," was totally and hopelessly unclean.

Therefore, Jesus Christ decided said "remnant" should be the ones to represent Him.

Then, why aren't they known as Jesus' Witnesses?

What about the "delinquencies" of the modern day WTS organization? The pedophile scandel, Malawi JW's, the UN NGO membership, blood factions, alternative military service, siding with Swaggart in court, etc? Continuing to think that God, Jesus, or Whoever picked this bat-shit crazy cult as the channel of communication of truth to the world could be the most illogical doctrine of them all.
