Was waiting for you to tackle that one first Syl, I tried that Epley maneuver too, when I turn my head a certain way, that's what set's my head off to spinning, so, doesn't work for me either.

Many, MANY, years ago when I had my first episode, I got to see a specialist, and he told me to remain upright for three days. He said it sounded like an inner ear problem, like little 'stones' on the drum that throw your equilibrium off. Sleep as upright as possible, no changes in equilibrium... act like you're wearing a neck brace. (driving is impossible because you have to be able to turn your head) But doing all this, it usually only takes a day or two, and then the episode will pass for me. Sometimes 6 months or longer go by with no problem, most recently for more than a year now with no episode. Other doctors mentioned meniere's.

But either way, I have been able to head it off to just a few days at most, with the above methods.

I've never tried the Epley maneuver, Baba, but thanks for posting that.

    Peace,

    tammy
