ZZTop always considered themselves to be a Blues band - even though everybody else has called them everything from Heavy Metal, Hard Rock, to Country & Western.

I am very familiar with ZZ top. I'd like something more raw. I am listening to R.L. Burnside right now.

Thanks for the Dutchy Mason links. I remember buying one of his albums back in the 80's not knowing who he was. Saw him in Campbellton a few years after in a small club, even had a small chat with him. Love his stuff.

bts, Stevie Ray Vaughn is definitely one of the best blues guitarists to have lived, check him out.

I know Stevie Ray Vaughn. He's bad to the bone.

We always have wondered what Stevie Ray might have accomplished if he had had a better helicopter pilot.
