Today, I observed Thor day in my usual way... by means of an intimate, reflective and deeply personal private ceremony...

...I burnt an effigy of the fictional hammer-throwing narcissist on my front lawn, dancing around the blazing inferno in my underwear, before finally relieving myself on the ashes.

It felt good! I am now spiritually cleansed, and ready for a seven-day spree of Thor-less behaviour until the next observance in, uhm, seven days' time! (assuming the neighbors don't object)

Ironically cedars you speak of the Thunderer more than some of his devoted followers. Consider too, that since worshipping thor is pretty free form bein "Thor less" is actually being "Thorfull". Ha! Just coined a new word.... "Thorfull". As in "cedars is the most Thorfull poster on JWN".

EE - If NOT liking Thor, hating the very idea of him, trying to dissuade others from worshipping him at every opportunity, blacking out every Thursday on my calendar for the entire year so it looks like the day doesn't exist, burning effigies of him in my underwear, urinating on the smouldering ashes of the burnt Thor effigies, burning Thor DVDs on whatever is left burning that my urine has been unable to extinguish, and otherwise blaspheming Thor in every conceivable way makes me a worshipper of him, then sure... sign me up! If that sort of behavior qualifies me as a worshipper in your crazy faith, then you have a very unorthodox take on religion!!

Hey, Cedars, worshipping Thor is very freeing!

Blocking out every Thursday on your calendar won't do it, you know. Every Wednesday you have Odin the All-Father, then you'll have a no-day, swiftly followed by Friday, Freya's Day, and then we go Roman with Saturn's Day, with the good old pagan Sun and Moon bringing in the next couple of days on into the following week.

You can't get round it. Thor and his family have made their mark for good.

If you can't beat 'em, why not join them?
