That little jab at 'The Avengers' is really only repeating what's already been said in Watchtower articles. They consider the Greek gods, comic book stories, and so on to be retellings of what the Nephilim did. Hence, sons of demons, evil, false religion, etc.
As a 'Hunger Games' fan, I would say that the idea isn't that watching kids be killed is entertaining in any way, it's that it's horrifying and that one of those kids was brave enough to take a stand and say this is unacceptable. I think there's a lot to be said there about freedom, so that it's not merely about violence. But that's just my point of view.
I heard one sister comment about how Star Wars was spiritism. I just never saw it that way and well, seriously? A guy piling up a couple hundred Philistine foreskins is okay, but Star Wars is a problem? Yeah. It does keep getting better and better.
