Well Sab he went and slept in a bunch of rich ladies houses, hung out, ate their food and didnt apear to work for the last 3.5 years of his life....maybe he was not a scam artist, just a layabout.
He convinced one lady to put oil on him that has the modern value of 10k or so...
Granted you could say he was just a less polished Tony Robbins and he was just an early motivational speaker.
