I hope they keep the out of date version. That ought to get householdes to wonder why the discrepancies between the False Reasoning Book and the latest Washtowel Teach book. And hopefully, put the kabosh on their studies.

"This generation will by no means pass away until all things occur." (The "generation" that was alive at the beginning of fulfillment of the sign in 1914 is now well along in years. The time remaining must be very short. World conditions give every indication this is the case)." Page 239, Reasoning from the Scriptures (Last Days)

    It's an easy fix:

"Before the last members of THE GENERATION THAT OVERLAPPED the generation that was alive in 1914 will have passed off the scene, all the things foretold will occur, including the “great tribulation” in which the present wicked world will end." - Reasoning from the Scriptures p.xx, 2012 Edition

It is New Light tm from Jehovah and is wondrous in our eyes! How Happifying! - Proverbs 4:18, Matthew 24:45

Kind of embarrassing to keep updating the Reasoning Book.

With the overlapping generation thing though the urgency is gone.

No no no it hasn't Amelia ! The Old Farts who make up the GB are the last bit of the overlap, they are fast approaching the Biblical three score years and ten, so the end must be soooooo close !

Do not lose your sense of urgency ! Run around like a chicken "The sky is falling !"

As doctrine changes so quickly, maybe they should produce a 'loose-leaf' version. One just needs to replace the relevent pages periodically.

I think that in reality more and more books will be electronic in nature (only) so changes can be made on the fly, could even watermark the printed version with a note that the printed copy is for information only, go to the electronic version for the latest.

Looking to the future it is possible all literature for personal libraries could be in an electronic format with weekly up-dates that over-write previous versions. Unless some-one gets a hard copy of every change they will all be as forgotten as previous old light.
