The prophecies on Israel actually happening, yet no religion speaks of this.....

I've been putting together what the bible 'really' teaches and not trying to put together what I want it to teach.

Just a few interesting things which seem to flow through all of the prophet books...........

First for Israel had a curse if they didn't follow Yahweh, Deut 28:15-68 fortells what will happen. It culminated with them being surrounded by their enemies and cut off and such ferocity that they would do cannibalism, mothers eating children and such. This HAPPENED at it's destruction around 70AD. It happened just like it said.

THEN the prophet books say how they will be scattered throughout the Earth. After so much time they would be gathered back. The gathering back started in 1948.

In the new testament, Jesus left on Mt of Olives and said he would return the same way. Also the NT in Revelation, etc, speaks of great earthquake etc.

In the Old Testament prophets, it says how on the return, one foot put on both sides of the Mt of Olives and it splits in 2. Also how a spring or river comes underneath the Temple, flowing to East and West. The Eastern flow goes to the Dead Sea and brings life to it. Also trees will be alongside it and it's fruit and leafage give healing.

Battlewise, it speaks of nations surrounding Jerusalem, and they still aren't following Yahweh, but then fire comes down and destroys those armies, so that the entire world is witness to this event and he makes himself known. At that point Israel serves him again.

What's interesting, is supposedly a fault line goes right through the Mount of Olives, which means a great Earthquake would split it in 2. Jerusalem elevation is about 2500feet above sea level, and the dead sea is the lowest point in the earth, 1400 feet below. So a river underneath it coming out would flow to the Dead Sea. It's also amazing that from 70AD to 1948AD the Jews had no country, were wandering and refugees for almost 2,000 years, then suddenly are back to Israel.

This stuff is nothing I've seen that any religions teach or even make mention of, yet it's in the bible. All coincidence or perhaps there is some truth to it?

Because other historical documents and eye witness accounts have verified it. It's one thing that is not only the bible. Like Flavius Josephus who was there when it happened wrote details, The siege continues: the people of Jerusalem suffer under miserable living conditions, including a terrible famine in which they resort to eating the leather of their shoes and shields (lines 1067-80). Their woeful state is exemplified by the story of a mother, Marie, who grows so mad with hunger that she cooks and cannibalizes her own child (lines 1081-1100).

Where does Deut 28:15-68 say they will be gathered back? It says they will be scattered throughout the world and sent back to Egypt.

You are sticking up for a sick God, if you think Deut 28:15-68 can be used to build faith in the Bible. What sort of sick psychopath would cause 2000 years of children suffering for what their distant ancestors did?

34 The sights you see will drive you mad. 35 The LORD will afflict your knees and legs with painful boils that cannot be cured, spreading from the soles of your feet to the top of your head.

26 Your carcasses will be food for all the birds and the wild animals, and there will be no one to frighten them away. 27 The LORD will afflict you with the boils of Egypt and with tumors, festering sores and the itch, from which you cannot be cured. 28 The LORD will afflict you with madness, blindness and confusion of mind. 29 At midday you will grope about like a blind person in the dark. You will be unsuccessful in everything you do; day after day you will be oppressed and robbed, with no one to rescue you.

45 All these curses will come on you. They will pursue you and overtake you until you are destroyed, because you did not obey the LORD your God and observe the commands and decrees he gave you.

58 If you do not carefully follow all the words of this law, which are written in this book, and do not revere this glorious and awesome name—the LORD your God— 59 the LORD will send fearful plagues on you and your descendants, harsh and prolonged disasters, and severe and lingering illnesses. 60 He will bring on you all the diseases of Egypt that you dreaded, and they will cling to you. 61 The LORD will also bring on you every kind of sickness and disaster not recorded in this Book of the Law, until you are destroyed.

It is hardly accurate in any aspect. Jews are not and never have on mass suffered boils and madness. They have not been destroyed. They are hardly cursed, with the richest and most powerful people in the world including many Jews.

    EndofMysteries,

You must not be aware of what is out there.

    Search the internet.

You'll find LOTS of books that discuss these things from various Christian perspectives.

Tim LaHaye's "Left Behind" books are an entire series describing such things in a fiction format.

He's also written a book entitled "Revelation" where he discusses this.

Hal Lindsey has written a number of end times books where he discusses these prophecies.

A number of systematic theology books of Christendom discuss these topics as well.

Is the Bible about God or is it about Israel and her troubles ?

Are we to honestly believe that Israel is the promised land ?

Israel is a dusty, rocky place with little water, hardly the stuff of a paradise. Surely god have given a better place with some water in Europe or other places. Almost anywhere is better than that.

Are we to honestly believe that God simply doesnt care about the rest of the world and is only preoccupied with the Hebrews ?

The truth is the Bible has an agenda, anyone who believes God says the Jews are superior and take slaves, rape , kill everyone else is kidding themselves. Is this the same god that loves everybody ?

45 And also from the sons of the settlers who are residing as aliens with YOU , from them YOU may buy, and from their families that are with YOU whom they had born to them in YOUR land; and they must become YOUR possession. 46 And YOU must pass them on as an inheritance to YOUR sons after YOU to inherit as a possession to time indefinite. Y OU may use them as workers, but upon YOUR brothers the sons of Israel, you must not tread, the one upon the other, with tyranny.
