Babel. Actions, that once solved a real problem, that have been converted into words and worshipped by following them even to certain doom.
It's synonymous with Einstein's definition for insanity:
Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

Rederick is action based ideaology (mantra is a good synonym). It's a set of linguistic ideas (rhetoric) that beget action. It's a human intuitive trap to create the future in our mind and then set our watches to it.
Examples of bad rederick:
Right Wing American: WE GOTTA CUT SPENDING OR WE ARE ALL DOOMED
Left Wing American: WE GOTTA STOP CLIMATE CHANGE BEFORE WE ARE ALL DOOMED
Overprotective Parent: WE CAN'T GO THERE OR OUR CHILD WILL BE EATEN BY LIONS
Capitalist: WE CAN'T PROGRESS AS A HUMAN RACE UNLESS OUR ECONOMY REPORTS NET GAIN
Socialist: WE HAVE TO HOLD HANDS OR ELSE WE WILL ALL BE DOOMED
Feudalist: NO WORLD PROGRESS CAN BE MADE WITHOUT WELL MANAGED SLAVE LABOR
Future Person: WE CANNOT MOVE FORWARD WITHOUT X BECAUSE OF Y
Examples of good rederick:
Right Wing American: Without an effecient government it's people will not prosper
Left Wing American: Without a government that protects it's people there is nothing to govern
Capitalist: Time is money
Socialist: Without cooperation among citizens society will never flourish
Overprotective Parent: No child left behind
Feudalist: Without power a leader cannot lead
Future Person: We can overcome the societal obstacle by doing X and stopping Y
