I knew pioneer sisters that were 'talked to' because they wore denim skirts, not obvious denim, the classy style. After a war of words between elders and the sisters husbands (women should be seen but not heard), the dresses were not to be worn again. Then a month later the latest magazine came out and in it was a sister wearing a denim skirt. Of course one of the elders was shown the picture, but he said as it was an older sister in the hall that was offended, it was best if they remained non denim....... The god of the universe in action
