    Dying Dreams

    Such hunger,
    Emptiness,
    A void.
    No food,
    Shelter,
    Or love.
    I am so hungry.
    I feel so empty.
    I have no money.
    Only bread crumbs,
    And dead flowers,
    Dying Dreams,
    Because greed devours,
    Everything.

    What If?

What if the world was flat?
And I walked off the map.
What if the sky was purple?
    Would that seem natural?

What if a wheel wasn’t round?
    Or gravity didn’t pull down.
    What if day was night?
    Would that feel right?

I wish you’d read between the lines

    What if east was west?
    And men had breasts!
What if a cat could bark?
    Would you believe my heart?

What if money grew on trees?
How happy do you think you’d be?
What if a bird couldn’t fly?
    Would you be surprised?

I wish you’d stop being blind

    But
    Unfortunately
    We never think what if,
    Because
    For us
What we see is what we get.

    untitled

    My words, finally without master,
    Are left unwritten,
in the ear of my lover.

Wanna talk about irony? I wrote this to the JW Pioneer Sister I fell head over heels for, only to have her ditch me when things got rough and to accuse me of sick things to save face in the congregation.

I can be a hopeless romantic, but I wonder whats the use. Im single, and I guess Ill stay that way. Women dont appreciate loving, honest, old-school guys anymore.

    Here goes:

I love you. Three little words that mean so much, yet seem to say so little. The way I feel about you... I need other words, bigger words, words that dont get used so often.

I need a word for the heart-bursting joy that sets my head spinning whenever I think of you. I need another for the warm ocean of contentment I feel lapping around me when I think of the years we will have together in the future.

Another for the determination I feel when I think of you - determination to make you so happy you will be mine forever.

The words for the desire you raise in me...

But, the only words I have are I love you. So there, Ill say it, and know the true meaning it bears.

    I love you.

    Yours Sincerely

The true Kingdom of God is located in your heart, not an organization of hypocrites.

    My hand to yours

Your words caress my heart and mind
    lucid shadows forming rhyme
    Tapping lightly on my soul
    wrapping me in their control
Tempting me to take a chance
    joining in this sacred dance
Shall I grasp your hand alas
    watching all the moments pass
as gentle flickers in space and time
    Swirling patterns etched divine
A voice that shines so eloquently
    above the sea of mediocrity
And if but once I heed the sign
of a poet's hand touching mine
I will steal a glimpse and come into
the spark of life inside of you

    Deathbed

    I can’t leave you like I found you;
    Full of wonder.
The time for wonder has passed
Like music skipping on the air,
Stopped by the echoing walls of a canyon.

There’s no sorrow in my death,
    Great peace comes with darkness.
    It is kind.

    Take part in my weeping
    pass my body,
Sing a tune into the canyon,
    cease into silence.

    FEAR IS...

    FEAR IS...
the indrawn breath you hold to not make a sound.

    FEAR IS...
the shallow breathing to pretend you are asleep.

    FEAR IS...
the pounding sound in your ears and your heart.

    FEAR IS...
the smell of breath and sweat.

    FEAR IS...
the taste of a dry mouth and swallowing nothing at all.

    FEAR IS...
a shadow that you see in the corner of your eye.

    FEAR IS...
the jump that places you firmly on the ceiling at a single touch or sound.

    FEAR IS...
    sweaty palms and frozen muscles.

    FEAR WAS...
    me as a child.

Rejoice in the healing and not in the pain.
Rejoice in the challenge overcome and not in the past hurts.
Rejoice in the present - full of love and joy.
Rejoice in the future for it is filled with new horizons yet to be explored. - Lee Marsh 2002
