In this modern information age, don't JWs browse the Internet for information at all?

Religions have set the perfect foil's for themsleves, if they are proved wrong (as in science) a teaching can be made an allegory, if a leader or member does something morally or ethically wrong then they weren't really a true believer and on it goes.

    3 dogs and 1 hubbie,

What a delightful situation. YOu did not mention the breeds. Fear of demons has plagued my life. During one time period, the WT kicked in the demon stories. Perhaps it was the formative age I was but I could not sleep nights for fear of them. The WT taught that they would attack you if you were a good JW, they also they would attack you if you were weak. I was powerless against them. Both my sister and I would visiually survey the room, looking for demons. Closed closets and the dark shadows behind door hinges terrified me. Yet I never told any teacher or friend that I believed in them.

I don't know why they don't explain how to block certain apostate web sites. Frankly, I believe I would peak and then worry about demons. Of course, I mentally left at 13 and had to be dragged against my will, while I was kicked and pinched in full site of the KH. Not singing the stupid kingdom songs with no musical accompaniment incurred a very severe pinch with substantial bruising for weeks. I was born not a JW. The stork must have confused the infants.

Of course, their jobs are often menial. When we had visitors to the KH with any hint of skilled labor or education, I was so enthused. I don't know how people function without the internet. The connection more than pays for itself. Personal business transactions are enough. Plus, many posters talk about continuing conflict with their families that are usually played out over the Internet. More and more jobs require internet skills.

The WT are fighting a losing battle against the Internet, whatever rubbish they talk about it is ignored by the younger ones who have grown up with it.

The younger ones know the Net has crap on it, and porn and whatever, they also know it as a tool they cannot do without, and will not do without.

Many of them are quite sanguine about ignoring the WT unless they are caught out, for all their lives they have had to listen to warnings that their own experience tells them are not true. The WT can no longer just write BS in its mag/rags and all 7mill. say "Oooh what wonderful counsel !"

The WT are an anachronism in the 21st century, they belong firmly in the 19th.

"Many will rove about ........." (Daniel) rove about the Internet and find this site !

There you are ! One Bible prophecy that came true !
