Man has assumed this scripture means the taking away of the evil man.

It means the taking away of the evil man's place.

The will of God is Psalm 37:10

    Yet

    a little

    will be no

    and the wicked

    will look

    for

    his place

    more

What it says is YET there won't be a few but many who fear GOD so that the wicked man's place (on earth) can't be had.

Do you reserve the right to sin? Please stop.

Oh for goodness sake. I shall be the first AND the last.

It means the wicked won't be welcome so if anyone wants a PLACE they better shape up.

    I hate you.

    It's NOT wibble.

So the spirit of man's clean fear of God becomes like the swords of the angels guarding the way to the place for a place.

    Is it rocket science?

So someone can be as good as good but really not so good because he is in his soul approving of the sinning of the sinner. There would be two reasons for doing that,

    1. it makes the good man look better compared to the sinner

    2. as I said, he might be planning ahead for the desires of the flesh so is reserving the right to sin.

    There are more reasons.

Another reason for leaving a place for wickedness is for the things only wicked people know how to do well. It could be anything.

The problem with wickedness is it spoils poor Earth, doesn't it?

    I'm wicked? Your probably right.

Why "your probably right"? I leave you a place before me.

It means the taking away of the evil man's place.

It could be said that that is what's happening before our very eyes. Look at the Arab Spring and Occupy Wallstreet movements for instance. They are aren't pretty, but most of the world is eager to see how they play out and sympathize with their will to change the system. When they reach the top of their mountain will they simply take Evil's throne atop and continue in that path or will they choose something new? Not good, per se, but new. Good requires much more time to define than Evil.
