Heres a question that just occured to me . What did they do at their memorials back in the prohibition as they were mostly all annointed and consumers of the wine at that ceremony? did they not do it? or did they break the law and make their own or buy from the underworld controlled system? Just a curious Goat.

By 1928 Boozerford viewed prohibition as "...a scheme of the Devil..." GA 5 September p798.

Yay. He got something right ....... but for the wrong reasons of course.

My take on this...this was a very popular stance in NY at the time, and the wts as usual tries to hop on the bandwagon of the next big thing, and then:

    • If it's popular, take full credit for it afterward.
    • If it's not popular, pretend like they never said it in the 1st place.

So, the bible story about Jesus turning the water into wine at that wedding didn't exist in 1924?............

its_me, wine is not 'intoxicating liquor'

I wonder if Rutherford availed himself of the provision during Prohibition that allowed for doctor's prescriptions of whisky - usually handed out for symptoms of fatigue or 'general malaise'...lol.
