  Porn is sex described or enacted in a way that arouses. There are non-porn sex movies/descriptions for a variety of purposes (usually medical or historical).

  Porn is everywhere, you can get it on the net, on TV (even free, when I had Dish there was at least one channel that had very soft porn in the evening), in the library and it's as old as humanity (depictions have been found in Greek, Babylonian, Egyptian, Roman and other 'advanced' cultures as well as cave paintings).

  On the net, there are hundreds of free porn sites that offer full or partial videos, pictures of a variety of sources and subjects (also see rule 34). The net gives you the additional benefit of anonymity that you don't have to interact with anyone to obtain it (as you would if you would go to a book store to pick up a magazine).

  The internet is destroying the WTBTS (and other cults re: Mormons and Amish) in more ways than one.

  @lamallcool All of us have feelings off course but working myself with meatbags I have gotten a whole new set of criteria to judge whether somebody is hot or not.

  Off course the whole song and dance about inner beauty is important but about physically being beautiful - wait until you see someone naked before saying someone is hot m'kay. Having a cute face and all is nice but even the hottest chicks at the bar have rolls, curds, marks or are just plain oddly shaped/proportioned.

  I guess the same goes for men. If you imagine someone who is well groomed, dressed and looks slim to have a nice six-pack you may end up with a beer gut.

  Also, some (hot) women are not women at all but have gotten quite adept at hiding it from a superficial first inspection.

  Sanctioning porn on matured individuals is hypocrisy. We are sexual creatures, beings that enjoyed exploring the gratifying exercise of sex. It’s the very reason why we survive as a species. Porn viewing is useful to excite sexual desires more intensely thus providing more pleasure on couples and for those who are not. Porn and sexuality is part of being human (or being animals) and should not be sanctioned against. It would be more profitable for the society to have guidelines in using porn more appropriately than sanctioning it as a sin and could be grounds for disfellowshipping.

  I forgot to add, that while they are publically saying you COULD be df'd for watching porn, privatly they are telling us that we dont even have to remove a man for watching porn is he is an elder/ms. The need for men is huge and we are being encouraged to be leiniant if possible. If its a long term thing they gotta go but its not automatic...

  Very true, EE. But, it's all sooooo subjective. If you're one of our buddies and your caught (maybe reported by wife or some other JW at work) viewing porn, well then, it's "normal" and we're all tempted from time to time, and you need to manifest some self-control. BUT, if they're gunning for ya, then you can be just as easily said to have a wicked practice of using repugnant abhorrant pornography -- brazen uncleanness manifesting greediness.....YOU'RE FIRED (DFd)!
