here are the lyrics to Night Riders Lament

    Night Rider’s Lament

Last night as I was out a ridin’
    graveyard shift, midnight ‘till dawn
the moon was as bright as a readin’ light
for a letter from an old friend back home

    Chorus:
He asked me why do you ride for your money
Why do you rope for short pay
    You ain’t getting’ nowhere
    And you’re losin’ your share
Boy, you must have gone crazy out there
But he’s never seen the Northern Lights
Never seen a hawk on the wing
He’s never seen Spring hit the Great Divide
And never heard Ol’ Camp Cookie sing

He tells me last night I run onto Jenny
she’s married and has a good life
Ah, you sure missed the track
    when you never come back
    she’s a perfect professional’s wife

    Chorus:
She asked him why does he ride for his money
Why does he rope for short pay
He ain’t getting’ nowhere and he’s losin’ his share
He must have gone crazy out there
But she’s never seen the Northern Lights
Never seen a hawk on the wing
Never seen Spring hit the Great Divide
And never heard Ol’ Camp Cookie sing

Well I read up the last of that letter
and tore off the stamp for Black Jim
When Billy rode up to relieve me
he just looked at the letter and grinned

    Chorus:
    He sang . . .Now. . .
Why do they ride for their money
Why do they rope for short pay
    They ain’t getting nowhere
    And they’re losing their share
Son, they all must be crazy out there

my lucky day, here is Broken Hearted People by Guy Clark. Pour me another one bartender

Now broken hearted people always seem to drink
and tryin' to drown those sorrows ain't as easy as you think
But living with a liar is a hard old way to go
Laughin' just to keep from crying ain't no way to grow old

    Chorus
So take me to a barroom driver
    set me on a stool
If I can't be her man
I'm damned if I'll be her fool

They say that whiskey ain't the best way, but then I ain't too smart
to think I just found out she was lyin' from the start
So if this is nothing but a bad joke lookin' for a laugh
hold on to your lampshade darlin' cause I'm looking for a hat

    Chorus

So get this taxi movin' cause I got no time to lose
there's no time to be choosy, any old bar will do
cause I'm lookin' to get silly and I'm lookin' to get loose
and if that don't get it done darlin', I'll come looking for you

    Chorus

    That's a nice piece FlyingHighNow.

For me personally I don't think there is one genre. It really depends on a mood I'm in, but one style that stuck with me over years ever since I was first introduced to it would be Classical Crossover. Its both funky and deep, love it.

    Basically likes of
    apocalyptica
    Bond
    Vanessa Mae
    2Cellos - Sulic and Hauser
    David Garrett
    Josh Vietti
    Lindsey Stirling
    Maksim Mrvica

It will be no surprise that is the Beatles, Dylan, and the British Invasion, part. Stones and the WHO. My life was so dreary when the Beatles first came to America. I saw a clip on broadcast news that showed British girls my age screeching, fainiting, the works. It looked like fun. So not knowing their music, I became a fan after watching the clip. The music was so upbeat and high spirited. Love Me Do, Please, Please, Me, Honey, And I LOve Her. It lifted depressions. Later, I had a lag before I became comfortable with their changing music. Their master works, Revolver, Rubber Soul, and on were extraordinary but never altered my mood as the early ones did.

When I was down, I'd play an early album and smile. This abruptly stopped one morning. The DJ remarked that if you were just waking up you might not know the terrible, terrible, terrible thing that happened in Manhattan last night. I thought terrorists. When he said to brace yourself, that John Lennon was murdered, I freaked. I was out of my apt in five minutes. It was strongly suggested that I attend the memorial at Central Park but I needed someone to go with me. I still have a twig. Now when I play early Beatles all I can think of is the announcements and the days following it.

My intro to the other people was more normal. I keep telling people I miss when these groups were outlaws and the counterculture. It is sad that they became the Establishment. I wish someone would tell me where I can hear both classic rock and contemporary alternative rock. Classic rock stations make me feel as tho I am in my grave already. Other people must want a combo. Oh, Leonard Cohen is cool, too.

Finally, I always wanted to learn classical music but had no access besides poverty program culture trips. My ipod encouraged me. From attending mainstream churches, my ear is better. I love it now. It costs a fortune, though.

It is loss that leads to sorrow
    Loss of a dream
    Loss of a person
but the consolation is in this....
    that one had the opportunity..
since worse of all is loss of opportunity
to feel emotions whether it be of elation or pain

inner peace arises in the memory of success ...

cherish most deeply all fleeting moments of joy

Truly no tear is ever be wasted
nor hope lost in the midst of sorrow !
nor comfort crushed in the midst of pain
for love's will cannot be lost nor stolen..
without total consent and spirits surrender
