" If any ...Organization claim to represent God, but decline to use God's

personal name....are they measuring up to this important qualification

of a true prophet? "_____________Reasoning book page 133

    BUT

" Jehovah's Witnesses do not claim to be " inspired " prophets

they have made mistakes. "_______Reasoning book page 136

AND YET THEY CLAIM TO HAVE

Evidences of inspiration ( subheading )

    2 pet . 1:20, 21: " For prophecy was at no time brought by man's will ,

but men spoke from God as they were borne along by holy spirit. "

    _______reasoning book page 60

    BECAUSE IF SOMEONE SAYS

" Do you have holy spirit? you might reply : yes, that is why I have

come to your door today."_________reasoning book page 384

YOU SEE !!!!! THEY DESCRIBE THEMSELVES AS PROPHETS,

THEY SAY THEY ARE NOT INSPIRED, BUT HAVE EVIDENCE

OF INSPIRATION, WHICH IS THE HOLY SPIRIT

    AIN'T THAT A TANGLED MESS

On page 380 under the subheading "What is the holy spirit ? "

The WTS states: " Jesus also refered to the holy spirit as a "helper"

and he said that this helper would "teach ," " bear witness ," " speak,"

    and "hear"

This is what the WTS said on page 60 was evidence of bein' inspired

and they claim that evidence on page 384

    I rest my case

By having both sides covered they can draw on whichever one suits at the time...

and can also deny anything because elsewhere they claim the opposite!

Not a tangled mess, but a case of very clever, very deliberate, double speak.

To be fair, though.. Can't someone, in theory, be at times guided by holy spirit without their every word being directly inspired by it? Moses was supposedly guided by YHWH but every word that he said on a day-to-day basis wasn't inspired, was it? Only the words he allegedly wrote in the Bible. Just saying..

@ The Quiet One: There is a verse in Exodus where Moses is at the burning bush and he says he doesn't know how to speak (or somesuch)... And YHWH says he will teach him how to speak and what to say. Maybe not every single day and every word that came out of his mouth, but the ones he spoke to Pharaoh and Israel, certainly. However, I highly doubt that in his normal day-to-day, he uttered flip-flopping theories because he wasn't "under inspiration" at the time.

Being "guided by holy spirit" (being so directed in a way or course) and being "inspired" ( a divine influence or action on a person believed to qualify him or her to receive and communicate sacred revelation) may seem to be different things, but in my mind, they really aren't. In each case, the holy spirit is believed to be directing the person or group to write or speak certain things. Either way, they claim holy spirit IS involved. They also claim that the holy spirit is "god's active force". If this is the case, then god himself is confused because he keeps making his holy spirit change the minds of the Governing Body.

    Hello there Aussie Oz :)

your are so right, only the WTS can have it both ways

I can remember bein' told, that I couldn't "STRADDLE THE FENCE"

and that even the fence was satan's property, so I had to stand

firm on what I was, The WTS sure is "STRADDLIN'

    The Quiet one

I'm so glad you asked that question, here's an example the WTS gave about the Org. and holy spirit

" Likewise today, boldness in speaking the word of God, zealously engaging in the work of witnessing

these are what give evidence that a person has holy spirit."_______ Reasoning book page 382

right there they are sayin' that evertime they engage in the " preaching " work they have the spirit

Tell It Morbidsbaby Huggs to ya :)

on page 60 in the Reasoning book, the WTS admits that "Inspiration"

is evidence of having holy spirit , the first scripture they include under

the EVIDENCES OF INSPIRATION subheading is 2 pet. 1:20 ,21

This book been out for over 20 years and the WTS been claimin'

they ain't false prophets cause they ain't inspired, big fail

All the lies they told, were told in the "preachin' " work.

while they were supposedly guide by holy spirit, which they say

in their own literature that is evidence of inspiration , which means

they claimed they had evidence of inspiration while lyin'
