I am just wondering if we can make a list of famous people that used to be JWs, i.e. famous apostates.
(Not people such as Lindsay Davenport that supposedly are Jehovah's Witnesses - but those that left.)
Some people that have had JW connections, but not necessarily been full fledged baptized dubs are: The Wayans brothers, the Jacksons, the Williams sisters, Mike Epps, Dave Mustaine, Dwight D. Eisenhower, Ja Rule, Patti Smith, Geri Halliwell, Naomi Campbell, and Evelyn Mandela.

Jill Scott, heard her mention on a radio show, Sherri Sheperd mentions it quite a bit on the View, those in the NY, NJ, CT area who listened to WBLS in the 70-80's would probably remember Ken Spider Webb, he used to be my Ministerial Servant for years, he's on Sirius Radio now, still claims to be a Dub.

The Williams sister claim to be JWs - we need to find celebrities that don't like the Watchtower.
We can write to them to ask them to be 'patrons'; respected, well-known voices, that will be listened.
We can work with them to share our mutual feelings. Coming out about how we feel!
We need to be organised in some sort of way; a charity to do this.
Things we won't get sued to death for by Wt lawyers:
TV documentaries, radio interviews, charity work to help former JWs, etc.

Do you know Gloria Naylor, she was a pioneer, used to go to the Murdock Cong in Queens, folks in the Hall started whispering about her when she appeared on the 10,000 Pyramid in the 70's.

Also, not one many people will know about but around the time that Hank Marvin got baptised, Cliff Richard was studying but never took the plunge. I was told he attended a convention one year by a JW relative who was there. I'm not sure how accurate that is, maybe someone like wobble can corroborate..?
