The Watchtower of 3/1/1953, p. 151 carried this short blurb:

    Never

    HeardofBibleor

    God

? Ten-year-old John Lennon was called to the witness stand [in Middlesbrough, England] to give evidence in an auto case. When the boy placed his hand on the Bible to take an oath that he would testify only the truth, the judge asked him if he knew what book he was swearing on. “No,” John answered. “Have you ever heard of the Bible?” “No.” “Have you ever heard of God?” “No.” The judge heard the evidence without the oath.—U. P. report in Chicago Sun-Times, May 23.

What's the chance this was the real John Lennon?

    Anyone ever heard of this?

Bloody big distance from Middlesbrough to liverpool! I doubt it!

THE John Lennon was born in 1940 too, he would have been 12 in 52.

John Winston Ono Lennon aka John. He was living his aunt Mimi in Liverpool, HIs uncle may still have been alive. Mendips! Aunt Mimi would not approve of his being in court.

She hated Paul and George for being a bad influence on John. George drove her bonkers in a vicious way. Her nephew being the good, virtuous one. It is so funny. George thought he was so sophisticated and cool for being hated so much. It was a status for him.
