I was driving by the Hall last night and it was 45
minutes until the meeting started and there were
12 cars in the parking lot. I thought don't these
people have a life? Going to the meetings is more
like a social gathering rather than a religious service.
This is so sad.

If it is like some congregations I went to, 2/3 of the congregation show up 1 minute before the meeting starts, that includes many elders and MS. The few elders or MS that showed up 20 minutes before got stuck with setting up stage and sound, handing out magazines and literature and territories (or in some cases it had to wait until after the meeting because no one was there).
Maybe they were there early for a committee meeting?
My kh was like blondies. Most showed up right before the song started and sat way in the back. And most left immediately afterward. Perhaps the CO was visiting and he had a meeting with the elders beforehand?
Or maybe an early JC meeting?
My husband leaves 90 minutes before the meeting. I think he sits in every seat to warm them up.
