This is really a GREAT idea: by elimination we would know who all the "believers" are.

If their name is not "written in the book," ROUND 'EM UP!

could they make up a list of offenders like Camping who cause a stir with biblical predictions that never come true???

Oh, good. And when he and his Tea Party buddies take over, people like me will be forced to stitch scarlet A's on our clothing. And then it's off to the "work camps". (For our own protection, naturally.)

The guns were pointing inside the camp at Manzanar....

WOW. Do you think that we here in the US produce many more non-muslim religious fanatics than other countries? It seems that way to me.

I just started an anthropology class, and the text covers the evolution debate quite extensively. It turns out, other countries have no real issue at all with this. I knew we were at the top, but I thought maybe there was some resistance in other countries, but no. Or not much. The US is the country. The book said that SOME Muslim countries are catching up---but still the US tops the list.

Slightly OT, but I found it fascinating. And I agree with BB on some levels. If this new crop of pubs gets control, I can see life becoming more complicated for an atheist--though not through a registry--simply through policy.

I assume that he graduated from 2nd grade at the very least. He had to see all the Pilgrim Thanksgiving educational films. The First Amendment or freedom of religion had tobe mentioned, even if in passing. I recall watching tons of PIlgrim films.

Thankfully, we have both the 1st and 2nd Amendments.
