Funny what changes you inside.
I spend a few hours in rehab...
Still, we were never encouraged from the platform (that I recall) to spend time with widows, orphans, the sick or imprisoned EXCEPT to count the time and start a bible (read propaganda) study.
In other words, JW's are strictly company men on the make and prowling for opportunity.
Not really the same as charity---is it?
What am I missing?
Sadly, Terry, you state the truth.
I does make one want to weep.
Terry, glad you had a positive experience with Dub. Good for you, good for him. Most important, good for the folks who were there.
I still get "more in return" when I give of myself in some way now, with no religious connection whatsoever. If that healing good feeling comes from God then praise be to Him/Her, but I do not believe it does.......Wobble
That's what we're here for, whatever talent we possess, ability we have, giving to other's. Religion, politics, ideologies stifle and corrupt what should freely flow from each of us.
Thanks T, much to ponder........
