@godrulz- That's the sticky part isn't it? Stay in because of family and friends, or just get the hell out and screw 'em.

It's easy to say which thing a person should do when you are on the other side of the fence or have already crossed it, voluntarily or involuntarily lol.

The *hope* that things will change is tantalizing but just like the greek story of Tantalus, always just out of reach...

I was wrongly assuming that they had rejected core WT teaching, not just some beliefs and practices. You cannot reform a rotten apple. The whole thing is false, cultic. Just as JWs call people to come out of Christendom, so those who know Christ call them out of the WT (organization) to a person. A JW who is proven wrong will wonder where else they can go? The answer is to Jesus, not another fallible organization. Scripture testifies of Him, yet they refuse to come to Him for life (Jn.).

Completly right, John 6:68 is WHOM, not WHERE a person should go. But if God approves of all sincere Christians, whether Catholic, Baptist, et al, then why would the JWs be excluded? Aren't there some that may have his approval?

And if that's the case, then why couldn't there be some relaxing on DFing, conscience matters, etc. Unlikely, but all things are possible with God.

This site is pretty intertesting: www.jwreform.org

Diametrically opposed, mutually exclusive views about God, Christ, gospel, salvation are not equally true/salvific. There are false gospels, false christs that are worthless (Gal. 1; Jude 3; 2 Cor. 11:4). WT cannot be reformed. It could be made to be a nicer cult, but it will still be a cult (cf. Children/Family of God David Berg nightmare). What is needed is what happened to the WWCOG after Herbert W. Armstrong died: they renounced false teaching/heresy and moved to orthodox theology (they still retain some sectarian baggage, control issues, Sabbatarianism, but they now embrace the trinity, gospel of grace, etc.). JW/Mormon is cultic counterfeit, not Christian denomination like Baptist vs Pentecostal. One can also reform and modernize Islam away from terrorism, but it is still a false religion (the terrorist ideas are actually closer to Muhammad/Koran than moderate, modern Islam is).

I don't think it's really that black and white, but that's just me. Some people don't believe in religion or God anymore after leaving the WT, so that viewpoint is expected by those folks.

But the actual question (and title) of the video is "Has God ALWAYS had a visible organization on earth?" And the answer is conclusive to many- but not to those still asleep within the Org.
