Witnesses thrive on oppression, and use it as proof that they are the "one true religion". However the list of religions and its members who have been oppressed and perscuted is rather long. Mormons, Scientologists, Catholics, Prodestants, Hindu's, Feng Shui etc,,,,

Why don't they ask the searching question - why don't they like Witnesses in so many places? Why don't employers want to hire them, live next door to them, talk to them?

Could it have something to do with the fact they are not good citizens? Because they have a twisted and sardonic view of the world they don't function well and contribute to society as "normal" people do?

The problem with people that live with the idea that God is an exterminating genocidal killer and you claim to worship and follow a figure like that, you don't think or behave in a normal manner. Hence the reason so many witnesses suffer in life with so many maladies, they give up on living this life in the desperate hope that there will be some magical chance to live and enjoy life elsewhere (paradise, new system, Disney world or some such rediculous idea).

You sound like a parrot. The most miserable and hypocritical families I have ever known in life are Witnesses. It always amazes me that the people "inside the fishbowl" can't comprehend that the people "outside the fishbowl" are actually well adjusted, happy, content and fulfilled. Those are all things I never experienced in my long "Witness Career", but discovered when the curtain behind the wizard of oz was lifted and the world actually started making sense to me.

My stepdaughter was molested by an elder's son. The elders lied and covered it up. Later, when it became widely known, they admitted it. The elder, whose son molested her, hunted her down to make sure she was disfellowshipped, unlike countless other kids who left the congregation,

The Watchtower Society was carefully informed as to all these details. They did nothing. The elders, who covered up this crime, were never removed and are still prominent elders today, even though at least one local school official knew about what happened.

Now, liar, tell me about how they protect the family.

What gets me is that the JW's already lodged over 30 complaints in with the EU and they were all shot down. They have taken a note from the lobbyist and will just keep influencing the political apparatus and jamming the courts with frivolous lawsuits until they get their way.

In France they are now labeled as a cult and not as a religion and it's being upheld by the EU. They're now fighting for the amount of back-taxes when they were still labeled as a religion.

In Belgium they are labeled as a commercial organization and it's being upheld by the highest courts in that country, lawsuit in the EU is pending.

In Russia they are labeled as a dangerous cult and it's being upheld by the EU, lawsuits about banning literature is pending.

In Bulgaria they had to settle for no more blood and shunning doctrine and it's being upheld by the EU

The only thing they got left is the Freedom of Speech (which they claim is going from door to door) and going against banning of literature (which will most likely be going in favor of the Witnesses).

In my congregation (and several others I heard off) there are now restraining orders (had to announce it from the stage during the Service Meeting - WT Legal told us to change the announcement to a Civil-Disobedience-Order instead of the official "Order of Protection" making it sound like (upscale street in our area) there are thugs in the street or so) on certain streets. It's a "No Offensive Conduct" order upheld by the local courts by some people complaining the Witnesses were there several weekends in a row (Probably some numb nut using the same territory for the normal service, invitations for memorial, invitations for special talk and then back to normal service).

They go door to door telling people that "Millions Now Living Will Never Die"

The Watchtower have perfected the art of lying and doublespeak.

Their literature is extremist. Just because they don't get involved in war or violence, this does not detract from the fact that they break up families.
