Realize you're dealing with old school mentality and a rather misogynistic one at that. I've worked with Greeks from the old country and find them ugly, even violent. I won't relate the shite I've heard never mind whether or not they've actually done what they've said. Not a mentality I'd prefer to deal with even as a male. Don't have a solution for you but I can relate.
