It's only fair that the psychology of apostates be assessed as they're intent on analyzing the psychology of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Understanding Mind Control Among Jehovah's Witnesses

The first two techniques mentioned above have their merits, and they should not be neglected in reaching the Witness. Indeed, we need all the tools we can muster in reaching out to free them from mind control. Yet I believe that a person who is trying to reach Jehovah's Witnesses must truly understand the mindset of the person they are ministering to before they can set them free in many situations.

Although this is utterly false, apostates must make a complete admission that they were once brainwashed or controlled. This is sad and pathetic but they claim it's true according to their own words. Apostate psychology is really quite simple...

Beware, brothers, for fear there should ever develop in any one of you a wicked heart lacking faith by drawing away from the living God; but keep on exhorting one another each day, as long as it may be called “Today,” for fear any one of you should become hardened by the deceptive power of sin. Hebrews 3:12-13

If someone is truly an apostate that has become hardened by the deceptive power of sin, they now walk according to the system of things of this world and the desires of the flesh.

Furthermore, [it is] you [God made alive] though you were dead in your trespasses and sins, in which you at one time walked according to the system of things of this world, according to the ruler of the authority of the air, the spirit that now operates in the sons of disobedience. Yes, among them we all at one time conducted ourselves in harmony with the desires of our flesh, doing the things willed by the flesh and the thoughts, and we were naturally children of wrath even as the rest. Ephesians 2:1-3

There's no chance they'll be freed from their condition. What they once believed in and revered has now become repugnant as their mental disposition has changed.

Certainly if, after having escaped from the defilements of the world by an accurate knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they get involved again with these very things and are overcome, the final conditions have become worse for them than the first. For it would have been better for them not to have accurately known the path of righteousness than after knowing it accurately to turn away from the holy commandment delivered to them. The saying of the true proverb has happened to them: “The dog has returned to its own vomit, and the sow that was bathed to rolling in the mire.” 2 Peter 2:20-22

For it is impossible as regards those who have once for all been enlightened, and who have tasted the heavenly free gift, and who have become partakers of holy spirit, and who have tasted the fine word of God and powers of the coming system of things, but who have fallen away, to revive them again to repentance, because they impale the Son of God afresh for themselves and expose him to public shame. For example, the ground that drinks in the rain which often comes upon it, and that then brings forth vegetation suitable to those for whom it is also cultivated, receives in return a blessing from God. But if it produces thorns and thistles, it is rejected and is near to being cursed; and it ends up with being burned. Hebrews 6:4-8

For if we practice sin willfully after having received the accurate knowledge of the truth, there is no longer any sacrifice for sins left, but [there is] a certain fearful expectation of judgment and [there is] a fiery jealousy that is going to consume those in opposition. Any man that has disregarded the law of Moses dies without compassion, upon the testimony of two or three. Of how much more severe a punishment, do you think, will the man be counted worthy who has trampled upon the Son of God and who has esteemed as of ordinary value the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and who has outraged the spirit of undeserved kindness with contempt? For we know him that said: “Vengeance is mine; I will recompense”; and again: “Jehovah will judge his people.” It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of [the] living God. Hebrews 10:26-31

So, when will we be favoured with your analysis?

OK, then, what about those disfellowshipped for apostacy who return to the so-called "truth"? ()

Were they "not really apostate" - that is, the elders with the holy spirit got it wrong?

Or did the Bible (and you ) get it wrong?

It's not a fearful thing according to WT doctrine. Jehovah doesn't burn people in hell right? So what is left? Death. The WORST thing that can happen to us is death. Guess what? Liz Taylor died today and probably millions more. Did they fall into the hands of the living God, or did they just die?

What about those that turn to Christ and live an upright life? Not all who leave are debauched and live in sin.

you seem to be confusing the term "apostate" with somebody turning their back on god and his rules.

the scriptures you quote suggest one who turns his back on god and breaks his laws.

an apostate is one who rejects any doctrines proposed by MAN. different type of person.

you might be thinking of an atheist.

so as long as you want to follow your "MEN", we faithful will be waiting for god and following his rules.

you are still not doing a good job witnessing here.

and your avatar is stumbling me to never join your society of men.

Are you talking about people who turn their backs on god?

Or are you talking about people who no longer believe that the WTS represents him?

    Do you understand the difference?

IF YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND AND ACKNOWLEDGE THE DIFFERENCE, THEN THIS TOPIC IS NOTHING BUT ANOTHER TROLLING ATTEMPT.

    Interesting comment .

I was a jw for over 30 years, and reading your statement is very common among insecure jw's.

Why are you on this site, and why are you examining Freeminds, isn't that a bad thing ?

For your information, I am much more spiritual, and sure of what I am, and where I am going since leaving the witnesses. It was a hard thing to do,

but the benefits have be greater than I ever imagined !

Good luck to you in your quest for finding the real purpose of your life !
