    TRIANGULATION

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triangulation_(psychology)

Triangulation is most commonly used to express a situation in which one family member will not communicate directly with another family member, but will communicate with a third family member, which can lead to the third family member becoming part of the triangle. The concept originated in the study of dysfunctional family systems, but can describe behaviors in other systems as well, including work.

I'm glad your dad could see through the Watchtower haze, at least momentarily, to call and check on you and your df'd sister. My jw mom will have no contact with me, a df'd sinner or my brother, a faded sinner, LOL! And neither one of us ever had kids of our own, out of wedlock or otherwise. Just in the last year there have been so many things happen to us; my brother married and had back surgery, my husband went into full cardiac arrest and was dead for five minutes, (fom which he's still recuperating), and not a word from my mom. As a matter of fact, just a few months ago I heard she was in the hospital, and she refused to talk to me on the phone. Later I heard she wouldn't tell even extended jw family her diagnosis for fear it would get back to her kids.

Keep the door open, my dear. Someday your dad just may come through it. I hope so!
