I'm a techie but I still like my physical books. The feel, the look, the smell..... mmmmm.... I have some of my grandfather's old books and I love 'em!

Kindle does have it's pros but there are certain books I want the old fashioned way. For me the books from my childhood, my craft books, picture books, certain manuals etc. I want in physical form. There are just some things I like better the old fashioned way. The manuals for my job I definitely want in electronic form. The search feature as well as the ability to carry reams of manuals in one easy, light-weight format is a complete bonus.

Soooo... Zid... any update on the situation?

Hi, Heaven!!

Yeah, I know what you mean about books - though, to be perfectly honest, I can see a LOT of advantages to the Kindle - or the other types of electronic readers...

Like trying to read while I'm eating - which is the best time for me to read... I can't count the number of times I've had to fight with a book to keep the pages open, the book properly balanced in my special little book holder, wiping food off of the pages... [no, I don't drool - but let's face it, spagetti sauce does tend to splatter...]

But I suspect that most of the books that I want to read, aren't available on electronic readers. I like books on geology, archaeology, volcanology, and OLD books...

About the other issue...

Well, you know how it is with empty mailboxes...

A person can get so discouraged that they just don't bother checking for days at a time...

But, as I've stated before - I just LOVE being right!!
