Mobile devices (smartphones and tablets) will set the WTS another challenge - currently their advice for controlling the Internet in a family setting is to locate the PC (??? what is a PC??? are people even buying deskbound devices) in a public family room...

67% of the kids already leave. Handheld Internet is not limited to young folks. Many elders have iPhones. So, in general, the Internet/handheld devices will make strict Information Control much more difficult.
Imagine how scary it is to order Crisis of Conscience online or to borrow it from a library? There is a paper trail involved.
However, to browse www.jwfacts.com from an iPhone is VERY easy and very private.

For all that decline in the Western world has been predicted, Jehovah's Witnesses are still growing. They are doing better in the UK the last couple of years than they were ten years ago.

Although we don't have the actual numbers, anecdotally, it is believed that significant growth in the U.S. is mostly within the immigrant community. Is it the same in the UK? If not, the economy could also be a factor, I suppose.

I think the demographic is moving against them in several ways:
1 - Growth in low income communities in the West and low income countries in general versus decline in their core WASP membership
2 - Decline of commitment amongst the remaining members
3 - About population growth rate in any case
So while they might report headline numerical growth (with vast amounts of fake publishers in there) they are in decline - no doubt about it...

And the reason being that in the western world there has been an on growing public awareness of maligning, exploitive, coercive religious
cults, just like WTS/JWS.
That awareness will eventually gravitate to other parts of the world, particularly where the use of the inter-net expands.
Better invest in another religion pretty soon Slimboy.
