I happened to notice her opened October 15th, 2010 Watchtower.
Around page 25 or so, there was an article that caught my eye.
It instructed parents to teach their children to 'not act independently of the organization, even in small matters'.....Sd7

So this the Mormon's Family Worship Night that the WT is copying? All I can say is wow. Looking at those images left me with a feeling I can't quite describe. It's not exactly disappointment, or shock, but its somewhere in between or both, I don't know. Wow, SMH. All these religions are the same. Buncha vultures and blood suckers.

"To some degree, this organization has become self idolatrous."

In a public talk several Sundays ago the speaker said, and I quote "....Let's us not forget, we all made a dedication to an organization....". I had to get up and take a walk outside.

Outlaw, those pics are as scary. Same mind control tactics that the WT uses.

The two articles shows are how desperate the WT is in regards to gaining & maintaining control over the flock. The youngings are not getting baptised and are leaving in droves. Even under the threat of losing family connections, very few are returning. The message to parents is more cult-like now than it was when I was growing up.

They're desperate, eh? Well, that can either be a very good thing--if it gets more people to leave--or a very bad thing--if it leads to more brutal treatment of the people who stay. Probably going to be plenty of both coming down the tubes. I shudder to think of what this regime will do if they start tampering with medical or other life-or-death issues...

The funny thing is that they used a parallel with times in the Bible when the Israelites would "recall times of old" or something like that. If Armageddon has been imminent since 1914, that says that 1914-2010 is a short length of time. But if the 1920's etc. are times of old, then surely they are a long time away.

Someone recently pointed out that the current regime, aka GB 2.0, are taking the path of Rehoboam. New young hotshot leaders with an opportunity to ease the burdens on their people instead increase the hardships their people are under. We can only hope that 10 out of 12 tribes of JWs up and walk out on them.

    Sorry for going off topic...

Their blood stance draws enough unwanted, negative attention. Anything more will get them the dangerous cult label from international govts and medical authorities. The WT is trying to appear normal, framing the blood issue as one of religious freedom and personal choice regarding medical procedures. To some extent they are able to sell this . Tampering any further will cost them.
