the question is - if the perfect angels couldn't handle a life without sex up there in heaven and lusted after earthly women to the point of leaving their proper place, how will the 144,000 handle it. Supposedly they will even remember that part of their earthly life?

They are supposed to remember their earthly life and thus be able to relate to our feelings and problems. Let's face it, EVEN women will be there to understand things from a female point of view!
Maybe their sex life on earth was nothing to miss so they will be quite happy up there in a sexless (also genderless) world.
