That First Sinful Act

If, like me, you faded or are fading, what was the first thing you did where you sort of said: "I would never, EVER have done this before, but always wanted to?" I mean like getting a tattoo, going to a club with friends, celebrating a holiday or such?

In my case, I got a short mohawk ;)

I actually haven't felt the need to rebel since my "awakening". I no longer have ANY problem with holiday or birthday celebrations. I already had tattoos while I was a witness, and already went to clubs.

But of course, I was always sort of a rebelious witness anyway. Actually I did smoke weed a year ago...

I can't remember any one thing that I was itching to do.

For me it was more of a realization that I could do what I felt was okay based on my own conscience and not what was forced on me. Of course, I had to experiment and find that middle ground of being me without going overboard. That's the thing about freedom. We tend to overdo it at first. We're like teenagers when our parents go out of town...

And it wasn't that I had never done these things, or most of em anyway, but now I was going to do it without the guilt. Drank more, smoked cigars, smoked weed, went to strip clubs, casinos, and a few other things that I won't divulge here...

Very true. People who get out young have that problem. You can do as you please BUT you can't make decisions that will destroy the life you're building.

I voted in the gubernatorial and presidential elections.

Previously, I'd only voted in school board elections.

    Voting at school elections, snowbird?!?

    *GASP*

You certainly were evil and undeserving of eternal life, weren't you?!?

BD, I reasoned that it was my children's future that was in question.

Why shouldn't I put forth effort to see that our district got the very best representation?

Honestly, I don't know why I stayed as long as I did.

Sylvia, I picture you riding an old horse up to the one room schoolhouse to vote... (or at least a one horse driven buckboard)
