when i had my JC, the "informal" meeting with just 2 brothers focused mainly on my beleif issues. When I began using books in the library we were in to show that the brothers were wrong about past and current WT beliefs, they ended the meeting and the next one, the official meeting with three brothers, they blatantly said they were not even going to address those issues and only talked about the tobacco use and other adultery issues.

Yes, I was guilty of adultery. C'est la vie.

I served for a while as a "conscious class" elder. For a month or two I thought that perhaps I would serve on a JC if one came along and try to be ultra-liberal and merciful. After more reading on here, I realized that ANY judicial committee could easily slide into either apostasy or child abuse. At that point I resigned myself to never serving on a JC again.
