    This English is not correct.
    The correct grammar is "the Buddha said (has said) as follows" or "His words were as follows."

    But, skeeter1, probably you understood my poor English.

    There is a book titled "A Short History of the Bible" that deals with the roots of Bible stories, etc. It is worth a read. Great discussion.

    Yes I did see it and it is a good record from an historical perspective. I myself have converted to Buddhism, I am member of SGI-USA www.sgi-us.org I am much happier now and feel like I have the ability to change my life and create happiness that was never there before as a JW.

    Thanks for the synopsys, skeeter. I haven't seen hinduism mentioned, at all. It is my undertsnading that buddha was a hindu, to start w. Thus, one could say that buddhism came from hinduism.
